I have literally been unemployed 4 months and a day. Who is counting though. This is the longest time in my life that I have not had a formal job. It's really been hard in so many ways, but also endlessly fascinating.
I have so much really to be grateful for but wow... getting a job in this here pandemic is soul crushing. I know that I have more competition out there than I have ever had in my entire career. I am not the only one that is looking for a position as a (fill in the blank here as to what I am looking to do for the next step in my career... I mean I know what I want to do but I am not getting that personal about it here).
Anyhoo... I am NOT a career counselor or an HR professional, not by a long shot. But if you happen upon this and would like to network, tell funny stories about what has happened to you or want someone to commiserate with about being ghosted by recruiters (and of course I mean that only in the best of ways)... let me know in the comments. I am down to chat. Who knows I might have a connection or insight.
I am not opening up to creepers but legit people to network with through this journey.
I mean y'all know it's really freaking hard out there.
I am always up for a challenge but not a lot of the people that I know personally are going through this... and great for them. BUT it's an amazing time we are living in and truthfully I really want to hear from some folks that also are going through it, because no one else but us can really understand!
